As we continue on our journey to be healthy, whole, and holy, we must acknowledge the power of worship! We were created to worship . . . something. So the important question is what are we actually worshipping?! Family? Food? Fitness? Friendships? Marriage? Money? Bodies? Appearance? . . . or our LORD!?
Take some time to look up and slowly read through
Romans 12:1-2
John 4:22-24
Hebrews 12:14-15
Do you believe He wants you healthy, whole, and holy? Living a free and abundant life? Do you believe He is good? If you answered ‘no’ to any of these, that’s okay . . . just still take your doubts and lay them at the altar of our King and WORSHIP! Pray for belief and power and love and sound mind. Because the battle in our minds is real, but worship is our weapon!
‘I encourage you to perform regular exercise as a time of worship, which, by scriptural definition, involves dedication and sacrifice. Bring your whole self – body, soul, mind, heart, strength, breath, and sweat – dying to your old self and being renewed by God’s power for His glory. Change the focus of your workouts so they center of Him.’
– Alisa Keeton, The Wellness Revelation
Moving our bodies, breathing in and out, and dancing around are all forms of worship! And since worship is our weapon and our choice to tackle the day, let’s have some fun with it and burn bright! ‘I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.’ – Psalms 139:14
‘Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.’ – Galatians 1:10
